The Day of Silence was interesting and difficult. I got a bit bored and lonely. I only slipped three times, and I only heard three negative comments. Mostly I think most people were oblivious. I was impressed, though, at the number of participants I saw, especially Mark and Trevor. K.J. called me a dyke, but it was after 8th period so I called her a bitch and that was that. Not that I was particularly offended (I'm pretty sure she was just kidding, anyway...), just irritated the meiotic immaturity of the comment. But hey, she made it into my journal.
I'm kind of beginning to get things under control again. My mom told me yesterday that she bought me a plane ticked to Indiana (actually Dayton, Ohio to be exact) for Monday. This is very exciting news because it means that I don't have to torture myself anymore about what Earlham MIGHT be like, or about blindly deciding where to go to college next year.
So by Tuesday I'll know where I'm putting a deposit.
I like being excited again.
I'm hoping that I'll fall madly in love.
But then again, I fall madly in love practically everywhere... to varying degrees.
I'm off to chase some steeples.
